We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dining environment. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for providing exceptional customer service and have a strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices. As a Food Server, you will be responsible for ensuring that guests have a memorable dining experience through attentive service, effective communication, and teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly manner, providing excellent customer service throughout their dining experience.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems.
- Provide recommendations on menu items, including upselling specials and pairings to enhance the guest experience.
- Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to tables while maintaining proper food handling and sanitation standards.
- Assist with bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure accurate order preparation and presentation.
- Handle cash transactions efficiently, including basic math calculations for payments and change.
- Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction and foster positive guest relations.
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, including ingredients, preparation methods, and potential allergens.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and health codes related to food service.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant settings is preferred; fine dining experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable systems is highly desirable.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards is essential.
- Culinary experience or kitchen background is beneficial for understanding menu items and preparation methods.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated when needed.
