Position: Senior Early Childhood Educator – Full-Time
Location: Current Assignment: Qayqayt Children’s Centre (at FW Howay Elementary) – 91 Courtney Crescent, New Westminster
Salary: $30.27/hour (includes $6.00 ECE Wage Enhancement)
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week
Qualifications:
- Current ECE and Infant & Toddler License to practice
- Current First Aid and CPR for Children Certificate
- Required criminal record check
- Doctor’s note attesting candidate is fit to work with young children
Requirements:
- Ability to plan and implement an open-ended, age-appropriate curriculum
- Two to three years current work experience in an early childhood environment
- Previous supervisory experience is preferred
- Current knowledge of Child Care Licensing Regulations
- Ability to maintain a safe and healthy environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work with children with challenging behaviour an asset
- Specifications: Six-month probation/trial period
