Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will support pharmacists in dispensing medications, managing patient interactions, and ensuring smooth pharmacy operations. Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing prescription medications accurately and efficiently
- Manage inventory by restocking shelves, checking expiration dates, and organizing pharmaceutical supplies
- Provide excellent patient care by answering questions, verifying prescriptions, and offering guidance under pharmacist supervision
- Handle administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and maintaining accurate patient records
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, medication administration procedures, and healthcare regulations
- Support the pharmacy team during medication preparation and distribution processes
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency
Experience
- Prior pharmacy experience is preferred but not required
- Experience as a pharmacy technician or in a similar medical support role is highly desirable
- Knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration practices is beneficial
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients and healthcare staff
- Ability to work accurately under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Familiarity with pharmacy software systems is a plus
Pay: $17.60-$19.00 per hour
