JOB SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Regional Manager, manages day-to-day branch operations. This position will improve efficiency in areas of the company that directly affect customer service, sales, and profitability.
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Branch Sales, Profitability and Growth:
- Responsible for meeting branch goals and performance according to the annual branch budget.
- With support from the Regional Manager, coordinates customer pricing. Analyzes pricing reports to ensure pricing policies are followed.
- Using the edit report and invoice register reports, analyze low-profit orders and items with negative margins and implement corrective action.
- Responsible for planning, implementing and participating in promotional activities (Counter days, special promotions, product information seminars/training, etc.).
- Coordinates and directs counter merchandising programs, including displays to support sales programs and specials with a focus on high-margin product lines.
- Drives the implementation of Bardon-based sales programs (i.e. Web, Bardon Rewards, Prokeep, etc.).
- Collaborates with the Warehouse Supervisor and/or warehouse team to reduce loss and ensure efficiencies of operations.
- Participates in budget planning (capital expenditure requests, headcount requests) and business plan development for submission into the yearly company business plan.
- Recommends and suggests ideas to generate growth.
Customer Service:
- Implements programs aimed at improving communication with customers, effectiveness of the order desk and development of “best in class” customer satisfaction.
- Responds to customer issues urgently and implements measures to prevent recurrence of issues.
- Participates in all sales, marketing and operations meetings as required.
- Collaborates with the Operations Manager and Regional Manager to continuously develop and track customer service benchmarks to ensure continuous improvement.
- Provides Inside Sales coverage during breaks and during periods of absence(s) of counter/order desk staff.
Leadership:

- Responsible for the security, health and safety of employees, customers and visitors to the location. Must carry out the duties as defined in Section 27 (1, 2) of O.H.S.A.
- Leads the recruitment and selection process for internal and external vacancies, in collaboration with the HR department.
- Ensures new hires are trained in their functional roles and plan ongoing training and development initiatives of staff to ensure sufficient backup coverage during periods of absence and to support succession planning.
- Manages performance of staff, including expectation setting, measurement of results, coaching for development and improvement.
- Responsible for compliance and enforcing established policies and procedures.
- Provides recognition to team members for efforts and results.
- Communicates regularly, informally and formally, to share information and solicit feedback.
- Executes any other duties required to perform the position and/or requested by his/her immediate supervisor.
WHAT YOU BRING TO OUR TEAM:
- Post-Secondary diploma in Business Administration, Operations Management, Sales/Marketing or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 3–5 years of management experience with supervisory responsibilities, including pricing, discount management, sales support, budgeting, and team leadership.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a warehouse environment.
- Minimum 2 years of inside sales experience, including counter sales and order desk operations.
- Proven experience leading a team of five or more employees, including coaching, performance management, and employee development.
- Strong product knowledge within the plumbing, pipes/valves/fittings, HVAC, or related distribution industry; hydronics product knowledge is considered an asset.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with Mincron or similar ERP systems is an asset.
- Exceptional customer service, written and verbal communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, plan and execute projects, and consistently meet deadlines.
- Effective leadership skills with the ability to influence, engage, coach, and provide constructive feedback.
- Strategic and innovative thinker with sound judgment and strong decision-making abilities.
- Adaptable, responsive, tactful, and diplomatic when working with employees, customers, and other stakeholders.
- Demonstrated professionalism, discretion, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety and continuous improvement.

THE OPPORTUNITY:
Hours of Work: The typical schedule is Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; however, as a Manager, hours may fluctuate based on the operational needs of the branch and company from time to time. Flexibility is required to ensure business objectives are met.
Salary Range: 70,000-85,000k annually *Commensurate with experience
The base salary range considers many factors including, but not limited to experience, education, and training. It is not typical for the starting salary to be offered near the top of the range, and salary is dependent on numerous factors
