What you’ll do
This role involves hands‑on woodworking and production work, including:
- Using small tools and performing general carpentry tasks
- Operating saws, sanders, routers, dowel machines, and other shop equipment
- Sanding and preparing components for final assembly
- Completing sub‑assembly work from drawings and written instructions
- Stacking, organizing, and moving materials as needed
- Maintaining a clean and safe work area at all times
What we’re looking for
- Carpentry or woodworking experience is required
- Experience using power tools, saws, routers, and sanders
- Ability to read an imperial tape measure and follow drawings accurately
- Strong craftsmanship, attention to detail, and pride in quality work
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work under deadlines
- Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs, kneel, crouch, and perform general labour tasks
- Strong understanding of shop practices, tools, equipment, and safety procedures
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
- Experience with solid wood, veneers, MDF, or melamine is an asset
- Steel‑toe boots required (annual boot and prescription safety glasses allowance after 3 months)
