Propulsion Marine is growing — and we’re looking for skilled, driven Marine Technicians who take pride in their work.
This isn’t a corporate shop.
We’re a family-owned business, right on the water in Sooke, with a full boatyard, launch ramp, and service dock. You’ll work on everything from high-end yachts to fishing boats and commercial vessels — no repetitive grind.

Our owner has been in the marine industry since 1999, Red Seal Marine Technician and factory-trained, born and raised on Vancouver Island, and still on the tools every day. He takes pride in building strong techs and developing people for the future of the trade.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Diagnose and repair outboards, stern drives, and marine systems
- Rigging, re-powers, and installs
- Electrical and electronics troubleshooting
- Maintenance, winterizing/summerizing
- Water testing and final quality checks
What You’ll Work On
- Yamaha, Mercury, Suzuki, Honda
- Mercruiser, Volvo Penta, Yanmar
- Yachts, fishing boats, work vessels
Who We’re Looking For
- Strong diagnostic ability (not just parts swapping)
- Pride in clean, high-quality work
- Reliable, focused, and self-motivated
- Wants to grow and be part of a solid team
Not a fit if you:

- Lack consistency or attention to detail
New to the Trade?
If you’re mechanically inclined, self-motivated, and not afraid to get your hands dirty, we’re willing to train the right person.
This is for someone who wants a long-term career — not just a job.
What You Get

- Consistent Monday–Friday schedule (8:00–4:30)
