Job Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring activities through surveillance systems, enforcing security protocols, and preventing loss or unauthorized access. This role is vital in maintaining a secure environment and providing peace of mind for all stakeholders.
Duties
- Conduct regular patrols of the facility to monitor for suspicious activity or safety hazards
- Monitor surveillance cameras (CCTV) to observe and record activity within and around the premises
- Enforce security policies and procedures to prevent theft, vandalism, or other security breaches
- Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, coordinating with law enforcement when necessary
- Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations
- Control access points by verifying credentials and issuing visitor passes as needed
- Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying potential theft or misconduct
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors and staff with inquiries or directions
Requirements
- Prior experience in law enforcement, security, or related fields is preferred but not mandatory
- Knowledge of surveillance systems and CCTV operation is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of loss prevention techniques and security protocols
- Excellent observational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations
- Physical fitness to perform patrols and respond quickly when necessary
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours including nights or weekends if required
- Valid security license or certification as per local regulations is a plus
