Mosaik Credit Union is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to join our team! This is a full time position and will support employees across all locations; travel will be required.
Reporting to the Manager, Human Resources, the Human Resources Coordinator provides administrative support to the human resources department and functions, including:
* Processes payroll including preparation, validation and balancing; creates and provides payroll reports to finance for posting; processes pension contribution remittances; issues records of employment (ROEs) and prepares T4s
* Coordinates employee recruitment; including, creating and posting job ads, assisting in the development of selection criteria and interview preparation; scheduling candidate interviews, and participates and/or conducts interviews, as required
* Leads employee onboarding, including, all screening and conditions of employment; completes all related paperwork for new employees and ensures timely processing of all documents and payroll
* Conducts new employee orientation; including user setups, manager coordination, and employee support
* Administers all employee personnel benefits, including, new enrolments, benefits orientation, terminations and changes, maintenance and distribution of benefits information, leaves of absence, coverage claims, and investigating and resolving issues
* Provides administrative support to the HR department and maintains all personnel files
* Supports in the completion of compensation and benefits surveys, as required
*Assists with coordination of employee meetings, employee events and training functions; including logistical arrangements and catering
* Assists in the development and administration of human resources policies and procedures, as required
Qualifications
The Human Resources Coordinator will have successfully completed post-secondary education in Administration of Human Resources plus have two to three years related experience working in an HR environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proven experience with payroll systems is essential.
