Level 1 Millwright Apprenticeship required. This position is intended for registered Millwright Apprentices looking to continue their apprenticeship in an industrial lumber manufacturing environment.
Benefits: Company-paid benefits after successful completion of the 480-hour probationary period.

- Monday to Friday: 5:30 AM – 2:00 PM
- Saturdays: 6:00 AM start, as required

What You'll Do
Working alongside experienced Journeyperson Millwrights, you will:
- Assist with the installation, maintenance, repair, and overhaul of industrial machinery and equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance on conveyors, saws, planers, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, gearboxes, bearings, motors, chains, belts, and other mill equipment.
- Assist in diagnosing mechanical failures and equipment breakdowns.
- Replace worn or damaged mechanical components using proper maintenance procedures.
- Assist with equipment alignments, shaft installations, bearing replacements, and machinery rebuilds.
- Support welding, fabrication, rigging, and equipment installation projects.
- Lubricate machinery and maintain preventative maintenance schedules.
- Participate in emergency repairs to minimize production downtime.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe maintenance work areas.
- Follow all Lockout/Tagout procedures and company safety policies.
- Attend apprenticeship training and continue progressing through your apprenticeship requirements.
What You'll Bring - Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of Level 1 Millwright Apprenticeship.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and genuine interest in industrial maintenance.
- Basic understanding of mechanical systems and industrial equipment.
- Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
- Ability to read measuring devices and perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills and a team-first attitude.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence with reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
The following experience is considered an asset:
- Sawmill, lumber mill, remanufacturing, pulp mill, or heavy industrial environments.
- Preventative maintenance programs.
- Hydraulics and pneumatic systems.
- Welding and fabrication.
- Forklift, aerial lift, or overhead crane operation.
- Reading mechanical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.
