Job Overview
Soho Beauty Lounge is looking for talented and passionate individuals to join our team at our brand-new location.
TUESDAYS AND SATURDAYS ARE MANDATORY.
We are looking for a skilled nail technician to add to our team. In this role, you will be responsible for looking after your client’s nails by performing manicures, pedicures, and various other nail treatments. The tasks include welcoming and greeting clients, maintaining nail beds, providing hand and feet massages, applying various types of polish, while ensuring that the client receives the best experience. You should also be able to build and maintain relationships with clients and encourage repeat nail appointments.
Other administrative tasks involved include promoting and selling products and services offered at Soho Beauty Lounge, as well as maintaining the cleanliness of the space. You will also be required to answer any questions the client may have and teaching them how to maintain the treatments you have provided for them.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality manicures, pedicures, and other nail treatments
- Apply regular nail polish, shellac polish, bio gel, nail extensions, and nail art to clients’ nails
- Removal of old nail polish from fingernails and toenails, cleaning nails, shaping nails, treating cuticles, and applying new polish based on the clients preference
- Applying artificial nails
- Experience in Russian-style manicures
- Experience in all types of nail art and designs (French, chrome, and ombré are a must)
- Listen to the client’s nail goals and make recommendations to help them reach their nail goals
- Recommending various nail designs and nail art to clients
- Provide body waxing services as needed, ensuring client comfort and satisfaction
- Ensure all equipment and tools are properly cleaned and sanitized before each use
- Ensuring that workstations are kept clean and orderly
- Ensuring that nail and massage supplies are adequately stocked
- Provide quality hand and foot massages
- Educate clients on proper nail care and recommend products for home maintenance
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and preferences
- Upsell retail products to enhance client experiences and promote salon offerings
- Assisting in the general day-to-day operation tasks for the business
- All other duties assigned
Qualifications/Requirements
- Previous and proven experience as a Nail Technician or in a similar role is preferred
- In-depth knowledge of nail care techniques, products, and tools
- Strong knowledge of body waxing techniques is a bonus
- The ability to concentrate for extended periods of time
- Detail-oriented and patient
- Excelled hand-eye coordination
- Effective communication skills
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients
