Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical systems, with the ability to read blueprints and schematics, and have hands-on experience with both low voltage and high voltage systems. This role requires a commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team on various construction and renovation projects.
Wage to be re-assessed at the end of probationary period.
Duties
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the layout of electrical systems.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for installation and repair tasks.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other diagnostic tools.
- Ensure compliance with local electrical codes and safety regulations during all work performed.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction projects to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential issues before they become problematic.
- Provide maintenance person services as needed for various renovation projects.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an electrician, Canadian Journeyperson Certificate.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including low voltage applications.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and safety equipment related to electrical work.
- Experience with construction practices and renovation processes is highly desirable.
- Ability to work independently while also being an effective team player.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
