Job Overview
Irvcon Ltd is a Pembroke based commercial roofing, sheet metal and HVAC/R company looking to add a competent maintenance mechanic to our team. Irvcon Ltd is a proud member of Local 787. Our technicians work 4 days/week, enjoying a 3 day weekend, every weekend.
Duties
- Maintain, and make minor repairs to HVAC systems in accordance with manufacturer specifications and local codes.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with heating and cooling systems using schematics and mechanical knowledge.
- Perform routine maintenance checks to ensure systems operate efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service reports and inventory of parts used.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding system performance and necessary repairs or upgrades.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols while working on-site to ensure a safe working environment.
- Ability to work in tight spaces, stand, crouch, kneel, climb ladders, as well as work in poor weather conditions
- Valid G License with a clean driving record.
Experience
- Some experience as an HVAC/R Technician or in a similar role is an asset.
- Exceptional mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand complex schematics.
- Familiarity with various HVAC/R systems, including but not limited to boilers, heat pumps, air conditioning units, ERVs, condensing units, etc. an asset.
- TSSA Gas Technician 2 is a strong asset.
- Ozone Depletion Prevention (ODP) Certification an asset.
- Working at heights an asset.
- Lift training an asset.
