Ice Technician
Position Overview
Reporting to the Head Ice Technician, the Ice Technician plays a key role in ensuring the efficient, safe, and high-quality operation of the club's ice facilities. While on duty, this position is responsible for supporting daily ice maintenance activities and maintaining the standards of excellence that members have come to expect. The successful candidate will foster positive working relationships with members, volunteers, staff, and visitors, contributing to a welcoming and professional environment.
This position is anticipated to work 20–30 hours per week, primarily during evenings and weekends, with additional hours as required based on operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Assist with daily ice maintenance and operational activities.
- Perform minor custodial and facility maintenance duties during assigned shifts.
- Clean, maintain, and ensure the proper storage of curling rental equipment.
- Monitor facility conditions and report maintenance or safety concerns.
- Support a safe, clean, and positive environment for members and guests.
- Assist with special events and other operational tasks as required.
Qualifications, Skills & Attributes

- Commitment to maintaining a safe and professional environment.
- Previous ice maintenance, facility operations, or curling club experience is considered an asset; however, training will be provided to the successful candidate.
