Our Guest Services Supervisors play a key role in guiding the front desk team to deliver consistent, exceptional service. What You’ll Do
- Supervise the daily operations of the Front Office, ensuring adherence to service standards and hotel policies.
- Assist guests with inquiries regarding room accommodations, rates, and resolve complaints with professionalism.
- Provide effective key control and maintain communication with Maintenance and Housekeeping to ensure safety and security.
- Oversee guest mail handling, message delivery, and maintain accurate logs.
- Motivate associates by promoting and monitoring incentive programs for monthly success.
- Review reservations, arrivals, departures, occupancy levels, and monitor VIP guests.
- Observe and support associate performance to prevent service issues or guest complaints.
- Manage and process no-show reservations according to company policy.
- Ensure completion of daily front desk tasks and goals by the Guest Services team.
- Troubleshoot front office systems and equipment issues as needed.
- Monitor guestroom accounts for accuracy and adherence to credit and inventory control procedures.
- Provide guests with accurate information on hotel amenities, in-house services, and local attractions.
- Lead daily team huddles, sharing important updates and preparing staff for upcoming events.
- Manage extranet communication, respond to guest requests, and follow up on post-stay reviews.
- Report staffing needs, supply requirements, and IT issues to management to support smooth operations.
- Maintain lobby appearance and service standards.
- Perform additional duties and projects as assigned by leadership.
What You Bring
- Post-secondary education in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of Hotel Guest Services or guest-facing experience (supervisory or team lead experience an asset).
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and guest service skills.
- Energetic, flexible, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated, creative, and a strong team player with a positive attitude.
- Proficiency with computer systems, including property management systems; troubleshooting experience an asset.
- Customer service experience and cash-handling security clearance required.
Working Conditions
- Standing and walking for long periods during the majority of the shift.
- Flexibility to work days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays as required.
