Summary
We are seeking an Install Lead to join our team in Red Deer, Alberta, Canada. This role is vital in overseeing installation projects, ensuring safety standards, and maintaining our company's reputation for quality and dependability. It is a hands-on leadership role for a seasoned mechanical installer who enjoys leading crews, solving problems on site, and delivering high-quality work safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Lead and perform installation of new and used mechanical equipment, including boilers, pumps, feedwater tanks, heat exchangers, valves, and related systems
- Install low- and high-pressure steam systems, hydronic heating, gas, plumbing, cooling, venting systems, and associated controls
- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, P&IDs, isometrics, and specifications
- Fabricate, fit, and weld piping, supports, brackets, and equipment as required
- Coordinate and manage sub-trades on site for installation projects
- Provide day-to-day leadership, training, coaching, and mentoring to Installation Technicians
- Monitor quality, productivity, and completion of assigned tasks and projects
- Perform system testing, inspections, and quality control checks
- Prepare work order estimates and identify materials required
- Maintain daily logs and project documentation
- Ensure a safe, clean, and compliant worksite at all times
- Operate company vehicles, man lifts, forklifts, and other equipment safely and in compliance with company policies
Qualifications
- Journeyperson or equivalent experience in mechanical installation (steam, hydronic, boilers, piping, or related systems)
- Previous experience leading crews or acting in a senior/lead technician role
- Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Welding and fabrication experience considered a strong asset
- Solid communication and coordination skills with trades, suppliers, and internal teams
- Strong commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork
- Valid driver’s license and ability to work at various job sites

Pay: $45.00-$50.00 per hour
