IS2 Workforce Solutions is recruiting for a Direct Hire Slitter Operator position with a leading food packaging manufacturer in Aurora, ON. This is a permanent opportunity to join a well-established company that produces high-quality packaging for the food industry.

Shift Schedule
Candidates must be available to rotate through all three shifts on a mandatory two-week rotation:
- Days: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Afternoons: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
- Overnights: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Sunday night start)
- Pay rate: $22.88/hour with Shift premiums
What You'll Do
- Operate slitting equipment safely and efficiently to meet production goals.
- Load and unload material rolls.
- Perform quality inspections, including measurements, print quality, web tension, and defect identification.
- Remove defects and splice material when required.
- Package, label, bag, and palletize finished products according to customer specifications.
- Complete production documentation and enter data accurately into the system.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all food safety, quality, GMP, SQF, and company operating procedures.
What We're Looking For
- Previous machine operating or manufacturing experience preferred.
- Experience in a food packaging, printing, converting, or production environment is considered an asset.
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure.
- Basic computer and data entry skills.
- Strong math and communication skills.
- Ability to read and follow work orders and production instructions.
- Comfortable using hand tools and cutting tools.
- Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work well in a team environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and remain on your feet for most of the shift.
