We are looking for a Full-Time Sales Associate to join our team at Pet Valu in the Hollinger Court. We are looking for someone who has flexible availability (daytime, evenings & weekends).
Job Overview:
As a Full-Time Sales Associate you will use your knowledge and experience to help Pet Parents find the right nutrition and other solutions for their pets. You will be part of a team of passionate Animal Care Expert's, and enjoy the perks of helping Pet Parents every day. In between the pet cuddles, excited sniffs and belly rubs, other duties include:
- Helping customers, engaging with them in providing service(s) and product suggestions
- Putting customers through the POS (point of sale)
- Bringing items up to 50LBS, such as dog food, litter and crates, to customer vehicles'
- Preparing online orders
- Restocking shelves/freezers with pet food and litter (weighing up to 50lbs)
- Cleaning the dog wash area, wash/fold towels
- Cleaning the adoption area (this includes litter box duties)
- Sweeping, dusting, mopping and other general store maintenance functions
- Other duties and tasks as required
What you bring:
- Passion for animals
- Positive and friendly personality with strong customer service skills
- 2 years or more of retail or customer service experience
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs repetitively
- Ability to have reliable means of transportation to and from the store
Pay: From $17.60 per hour
