Skilled Labourer – Boat Lift Manufacturing

Paradise is seeking a reliable and hardworking Skilled Labourer to join our manufacturing team in Vernon, BC. We manufacture aluminum docks and hydraulic boat lifts, and this position will support the production of aluminum components used throughout our product line.
The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, using shop equipment, reading measurements, and completing repetitive production tasks accurately and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Cut, drill, deburr, and prepare aluminum parts for boat lift and dock production
- Operate saws, drill presses, hand drills, grinders, and other shop equipment
- Read shop drawings, cut lists, and basic measurements
- Measure and mark materials accurately
- Assemble components using hand and power tools
- Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality
- Organize completed parts for the welding and assembly departments
- Move materials and finished components throughout the shop
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Assist welders, fabricators, and assembly staff as required
- Follow company safety procedures and production standards
Qualifications
- Previous experience in manufacturing, construction, metal fabrication, or a similar hands-on role
- Experience cutting and drilling aluminum or other metals is an asset
- Ability to accurately use a tape measure and basic measuring tools
- Comfortable operating hand tools and shop equipment
- Able to read basic drawings and follow written instructions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team
- Able to lift and move materials throughout the workday
- Forklift experience is an asset
- Valid driver’s licence is an asset
