Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Experienced Barista and Cashier to join our team. This role involves preparing and serving high-quality beverages, providing excellent customer service, and managing transactions accurately. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in food service or as a barista is preferred but not required, as training will be provided. This position offers an engaging work environment where you can develop your skills in customer service, food handling, and cash management.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other drinks according to company standards
- Operate POS systems such as Micros POS to process customer transactions efficiently and accurately
- Handle cash, credit card payments, and give correct change while maintaining proper cash handling procedures
- Greet customers warmly, take orders, and provide excellent customer service to ensure a positive experience
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the counter area, including food preparation stations
- Follow food safety guidelines during food handling and preparation
- Assist with food prep tasks such as assembling snacks or light food items when necessary
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly without compromising quality
- Uphold health and safety standards in accordance with food safety regulations
Skills
- Previous experience as a barista or in the food industry is highly desirable
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, for efficient transaction processing
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours
- Knowledge of food handling and safety procedures to ensure compliance with health regulations
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Serving experience is a plus, along with familiarity in food preparation and food service operations
