We are currently seeking and have an immediate opening for a qualified and motivated individual to fill the position of Outside Sales Representative, based out of Paradise, NL location.
Acting as a trusted advisor, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships across your territory while identifying opportunities for growth. By understanding customer operations, challenges, and technical requirements, you will recommend valve, mechanical, automation, and instrumentation solutions that deliver value, improve performance, and support long-term success.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers within the assigned territory.
- Identify new business opportunities and support the growth of existing accounts.
- Conduct regular customer visits to understand operational needs, provide technical support, and uncover sales opportunities.
- Serve as a trusted advisor by recommending valve, automation, and instrumentation solutions.
- Review customer specifications, applications, and project requirements to identify appropriate products and solutions.
- Collaborate with internal sales, operations, and technical teams to ensure customer and project requirements are met.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, opportunities, quotations, and account activity.
- Monitor market trends, customer developments, and competitive activity to identify opportunities for growth.
- Participate in product training, sales meetings, account reviews, and industry events as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of sales, account management, or business development experience in an industrial or technical environment.
- Post-secondary education in Business, Marketing, Engineering Technology, Instrumentation, Mechanical Technology, or a related field is considered an asset.
- Strong relationship-building and customer service skills.
- Technical aptitude with the ability to understand customer applications and recommend solutions.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and general computer applications.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory.
