Field Service Technician – Diesel & Propane Industrial Equipment

Our client, a national leader in material handling equipment and warehouse solutions, is looking to add an experienced Field Service Technician to support customers throughout the Etobicoke territory.
This is an excellent opportunity for a licensed mechanic who enjoys working independently, solving mechanical problems, and providing exceptional customer service while servicing diesel and propane-powered internal combustion forklifts at customer sites.
About the Role:
You'll travel throughout your assigned territory in a fully equipped company service truck, performing preventative maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and emergency service on larger internal combustion forklifts and material handling equipment.
Working directly with customers, you'll diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, recommend repair solutions, complete service documentation electronically, and help keep customer equipment operating safely and efficiently.
The majority of the equipment you'll service consists of larger diesel and propane-powered lift trucks operating outdoors in customer yards and industrial environments.
We're interested in speaking with candidates who have:
- Licensed 310S, 310T, or 421A Certificate of Qualification
- Minimum 4 years of hands-on mechanical experience
- Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic abilities
- Experience working on heavy equipment, forklifts, construction equipment, agricultural equipment, trucks, or similar mobile equipment
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a field service environment
- Valid Ontario Class G driver's licence
Experience servicing internal combustion lift trucks is an asset, but candidates from other mechanical backgrounds are encouraged to apply ie: 310S (with diesel experience), 310T or 421A.
Compensation & Benefits:
- $85,000 - 96,000 annually
- Overtime paid after 44 hours per week
