Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our premises. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring property, preventing theft, and maintaining a secure environment for staff and visitors. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong observational skills, and the ability to respond effectively to security incidents. Prior experience in law enforcement or surveillance is a plus, but we welcome motivated individuals eager to develop their security skills.
Duties
- Conduct regular patrols of the facility to monitor for suspicious activity or safety hazards
- Monitor surveillance equipment such as CCTV cameras to observe and record activities within the premises
- Enforce security protocols to prevent theft, vandalism, or unauthorized access
- Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies, and coordinate with law enforcement if necessary
- Maintain detailed incident reports and logs of daily activities and security breaches
- Control access points by checking identification and issuing visitor passes
- Assist with loss prevention strategies by observing customer behavior and preventing theft or fraud
- Ensure all security equipment is functioning properly and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs
Experience
- Previous experience in law enforcement, security, or surveillance is preferred but not required; training will be provided for qualified candidates
- Familiarity with CCTV systems and surveillance technology is advantageous
- Knowledge of loss prevention techniques and security procedures is a plus
- Strong observational skills with the ability to recognize potential threats or safety issues quickly
- Excellent communication skills for interacting professionally with staff, visitors, and emergency responders
