The role:
The Senior Manager Data Analytics & Reporting for Merdian OneCap (“OneCap”) is a strategic leader responsible for all enterprise analytics, reporting, and data science functions across OneCap. This role drives innovation in analytics, reporting, automation, and artificial intelligence, ensuring robust data governance, operational excellence, and actionable insights for business performance, credit risk, and financial management. Reporting directly to the President this leader manages cross-functional teams, partners with senior executives, and champions data-driven decision-making to optimize outcomes for OneCap and its stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Advanced expertise in data science, data analytics, AI/ML, GenAI, automation, and statistical modeling.
- Strong knowledge of SQL, Python, R, SAS, Power BI, and business intelligence platforms.
- Deep understanding of data governance, database management, and financial/credit risk modeling.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills; ability to present complex concepts and influence senior stakeholders.
- Experience in driving innovation and implementing advanced analytics solutions.
- focus, proactive service orientation, open communication, business savvy, and integrity.
- Talent developer, fostering team growth and a positive, innovative environment.
Education, Work Experience, and Certifications
- The incumbent is required (at a minimum) to have a Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a focus on commerce, finance, accounting, data science, statistics, or mathematics.
- Professional designations (CFA, FRM, CPA) or recognized accounting credentials preferred.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in analytics, reporting, AI/ML, and financial/credit risk management.
- Experience in banking, financial services, or equipment finance environments is an asset.
This role represents a new vacancy. Internal candidates are being considered as part of our standard process.
Salary Range: CAD $95,000.00 to $125,000.00 annually.
Compensation for this role is based on a combination of skills, experience, and internal equity. Candidates with stronger alignment to the role’s requirements may be placed higher within the range. Your recruiter will share more information about our total rewards package during the hiring process.
Office Location: Toronto Corporate Office. This is a hybrid opportunity.
Meridian OneCap has a remote work policy that allows flexibility for employees to work remotely but also requires our employees to attend the office minimum one day per week.
