Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Kitchen Helper / Griller / Cashier to join our dynamic food service team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment, providing excellent customer service while supporting food preparation and cashiering duties. Responsibilities
- Assist in food preparation and cooking, including grilling and assembling menu items according to company standards
- Operate POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling
- Manage cashier duties accurately, including processing payments and providing correct change
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and dining areas in compliance with food safety regulations
- Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed at all times
- Support in serving customers efficiently and courteously, upselling menu items when appropriate
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service
- Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Follow all sanitation protocols and safety guidelines to uphold hygiene standards
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food preparation, food service, or restaurant environment is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Good time management skills to handle multiple responsibilities effectively
- Kitchen experience or food industry background is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
