Job Summary
We are looking for a Component Engineer to support component selection, evaluation, qualification, and documentation for electrical and electromechanical products. The role involves reviewing drawings, specifications, tolerances, BOMs, and supplier documentation while working closely with engineering, quality, manufacturing, and supply chain teams.
Responsibilities
- Support selection, evaluation, and qualification of electrical and electromechanical components and subassemblies.
- Review engineering drawings, schematics, specifications, tolerances, datasheets, and product requirements.
- Assist with BOM reviews, component lifecycle tracking, ECO/ECR/ECN support, and documentation updates.
- Review supplier/component documentation to support quality, availability, compliance, and manufacturability.
- Work with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to resolve component issues and support product development.
- Maintain accurate technical records for components, testing, compliance, and engineering changes.
Required Skills
- Experience with electrical/electromechanical components such as sensors, relays, switches, connectors, cables, motors, PCB/PCBA, LEDs, resistors, capacitors, inductors, or control modules.
- Ability to read drawings, schematics, specifications, tolerances, and datasheets.
- Experience with BOMs, component documentation, product lifecycle data, or engineering change processes.
- Understanding of component quality, testing, manufacturability, supplier documentation, and compliance requirements.
- Strong documentation, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with PLM, Teamcenter, Windchill, SAP, ECO/ECR/ECN, AVL/AML, or obsolescence management.
- Knowledge of RoHS, REACH, ISO, UL, CSA, IPC, MIL-SPEC, or similar standards.
- Experience with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, LCR meters, or signal generators.
Education
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Electromechanical, Mechanical, or related Engineering discipline
Pay: $22.00-$27.00 per hour
