Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Roofer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofing systems on residential buildings. Responsibilities
- Measure and cut roofing materials accurately using hand tools and power tools to ensure proper fit and installation.
- Install roofing systems including shingles, roofing with precision and attention to detail.
- Read blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to determine project scope and specifications.
- Seal joints, seams, and flashings using caulking or other sealing methods to prevent leaks and water intrusion.
- Conduct inspections during and after installation to ensure quality standards are met; perform repairs or restorations as needed.
- Lift heavy materials safely on-site, utilizing proper lifting techniques and equipment to prevent injury.
Skills
- Proficiency in construction estimating to accurately assess project needs and materials.
- Skilled in using hand tools (hammers, chisels, screwdrivers) and power tools (nail guns, drills, saws) efficiently.
- Strong knowledge of roofing materials, techniques, and safety protocols within construction environments.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings with clarity.
- Familiarity with fabrication processes related to roofing components or structural elements.
- Knowledge of heavy lifting procedures combined with physical stamina for demanding tasks on construction sites.
- Understanding of schematics for roofing systems or related building frameworks.
