Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with experience working in dealership settings preferred. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety. The Mechanic will utilize a range of hand tools, power tools, and schematics to perform repairs efficiently and accurately. Duties
- Diagnose vehicle issues using mechanical knowledge and schematics
- Perform repairs including engine work, brake service, transmission repairs, and electrical diagnostics
- Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid replacements
- Utilize welding skills for bodywork or structural repairs when necessary
- Use hand tools and power tools to disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicle components
- Follow safety protocols during all repair procedures, including heavy lifting techniques
- Maintain detailed records of repairs performed and parts used
- Assist with vehicle assembly or modifications as required
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs needed and estimated timelines
Requirements
- Proven mechanic experience, preferably within a dealership environment
- Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems and components
- Proficiency with schematics, diagnostic tools, hand tools, and power tools
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Welding skills are a plus but not mandatory
- Experience with automotive repair, maintenance, and assembly processes
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Good communication skills for customer interactions and team collaboration
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is preferred
