Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will operate and set up CNC machines, including CNC lathes and milling machines, to produce precision parts according to specifications. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency in CNC programming, and the ability to interpret complex blueprints and technical drawings. The Machinist will contribute to maintaining high-quality standards through precise machining, calibration, and inspection processes. Candidates with experience in SolidWorks, CAD, and lean manufacturing principles will thrive in this position. Responsibilities
- Operate CNC equipment such as CNC lathe and CNC milling machines with precision and adherence to specifications
- Program CNC machines using Fanuc controls and basic CNC programming techniques
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models for accurate machining
- Set up machines using hand tools, calipers, power tools, and welding equipment as needed
- Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting on machining equipment
- Use measuring tools like calipers to ensure parts meet dimensional tolerances
- Assist with assembly processes when required, utilizing basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Maintain a clean and organized work area following safety standards
- Follow lean manufacturing practices to optimize efficiency and reduce waste
Experience
- Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as CNC lathe and CNC milling machine
- Mechanical knowledge of machining processes and equipment maintenance
- Proficiency in CNC programming with Fanuc controls preferred
- Familiarity with SolidWorks, CAD software, blueprint reading, and technical documentation
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, welding techniques, forklift operation, and assembly processes is advantageous
- Knowledge of basic math skills relevant to machining tasks (measurements, tolerances)
- Prior experience working within a manufacturing or production environment is highly desirable
