Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaner/Supervisor to oversee cleaning operations within commercial facilities. This role involves hands-on cleaning duties combined with supervisory responsibilities to ensure high standards of cleanliness and maintenance across various client sites. The ideal candidate will possess strong cleaning skills, experience in facilities maintenance, and leadership abilities to manage a team effectively.
Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of commercial spaces, including offices, restrooms, lobbies, and other common areas
- Supervise and coordinate cleaning staff to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and to quality standards
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures in accordance with client requirements
- Conduct routine inspections to monitor cleanliness and address any deficiencies promptly
- Maintain supplies and equipment, ensuring proper use and safety compliance
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or reporting larger issues for resolution
- Train new team members on cleaning protocols, safety procedures, and equipment use
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations at all times
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or facilities maintenance is preferred
- Previous supervisory or team lead experience is a plus
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and safety standards
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation are preferred.
- Able to work evenings, nights, weekends, and flexible hours when required.
