Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will support the delivery of high-quality patient care by assisting the dentist during procedures, managing patient comfort, and ensuring smooth clinical operations. Experience with dental software such as Dentrix, as well as familiarity with General Dentistry will be highly advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Chairside assisting in all facets of treatment
- Patient education, comfort and workflow
- Taking digital radiographs, intraoral impressions, and scanning
- Digital dental charting, working with the Dentist(s) to document findings
- Engaging patients and responding to questions
- Sterilization, following proper protocols
- Organize, and maintain a clean and sterile clinical area
- Dental supplies, Instrument and equipment maintenance and monitoring
- Other duties as assigned
- Manage patient comfort and provide clear instructions for post-treatment care
- Educate patients on oral health practices and treatment plans
- Support front desk duties as needed, including scheduling appointments and verifying insurance information
- Ensure compliance with all safety and health regulations within the clinical environment
Requirements
- Registered and/or Certified as a Dental Assistant with the NSDDA is required
- Valid registration as a Dental Assistant with current licensure or certification
- Proficiency in dental software platforms such as Dentrix is preferred
- Experience with general dentistry is highly desirable
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dental care
- Familiarity with digital radiography
- Strong communication skills and ability to provide excellent patient service
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Previous dental assisting experience is preferred
