Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and professional Hair Stylist to join our salon as a Chair Rental stylist.
The Hair Station Rental is $650 a month and includes Aveda Shampoo and Conditioners, plus Reception and the Phorest Booking App.
All Aveda hair colour and treatments will be pre-purchased at cost and kept at your station for your own use.
You will be responsible for taking your own payments. Retail Product commission will be paid out at a competitive rate.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to operate independently while providing exceptional hair styling services to clients.
Your expertise in hair styling, customer service, and sanitation will contribute to creating a welcoming and high-quality salon environment. This position offers flexibility and the chance to grow your client base while maintaining your own schedule.
Responsibilities
- Provide a variety of hair styling services including cuts, color, treatments, and styling tailored to client preferences
- Maintain a clean and sanitized work station in accordance with health and safety standards
- Build and retain a loyal client base through excellent customer service and professional communication
- Upsell retail products and additional services to enhance client satisfaction and personal revenue
- Foster a positive salon atmosphere by demonstrating professionalism, friendliness, and effective communication skills
- Stay current with industry trends and techniques to offer innovative services
Requirements
- Valid cosmetology license or relevant certification required by state regulations
- Proven experience in hair styling with strong technical skills in cutting, coloring, and styling
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clients
- Knowledge of sanitation practices to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff
- Ability to recommend retail products and home care
- Professional appearance and demeanor with excellent communication skills
- Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset to build your own clientele within the salon setting
Pay: $50.00-$150.00 per hour
