Liquor Retail Sales Associate
Grandview Corners Liquor Store is seeking a Part Time Sales Associate to join our team.
We are a busy neighbourhood liquor store in Surrey, BC that values friendly service, reliability, and a clean, well organized shopping experience. We are looking for someone who is confident with customers, takes pride in their work, and can be trusted to support daily store operations with care and consistency.
This role is best suited for someone who enjoys helping people, stays calm during busy periods, and understands the importance of following liquor service regulations.
Position Details
- Part time position
- Flexible scheduling (2-4 shifts per week)
- Weekend availability required, including Saturdays and Sundays
- Afternoon and evening availability preferred
- Opening and closing shifts may be required
- Eligible for tip sharing
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and provide friendly, professional service
- Assist customers with product selection and general questions
- Process transactions accurately through the POS system
- Handle cash and card payments according to store procedures
- Stock shelves, coolers, and product displays
- Maintain store cleanliness and organization throughout each shift
- Monitor store presentation and help keep products easy to shop
- Verify identification when required
- Follow BC liquor service regulations and store policies
- Support general store operations as needed
Requirements
- Must be 19 years of age or older, as required under BC liquor laws
- Must hold a valid Serving It Right certificate
- Previous retail, liquor store, or customer service experience is preferred
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Reliable, punctual, and organized
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Able to follow procedures and handle transactions accurately
- Able to work weekends, afternoons, evenings, and possible opening or closing shifts

- Friendly and approachable with customers
- Dependable and consistent with attendance
- Comfortable asking for ID and following store policy
- Able to stay productive during slower periods
- Willing to help with stocking, cleaning, and merchandising
