This is a chair rental position. $1000 monthly.- wage is determined by what you want to charge and clientle you bring in. We are in the heart of the valley and the only tanning salon in the area!
We are seeking a talented and personable Hair Stylist to join our vibrant salon team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hair styling, excellent customer service skills, and a commitment to creating a welcoming environment for clients. This role involves providing professional hair services, maintaining high standards of sanitation, and contributing to the overall success of the salon through retail sales and effective communication.
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of hair styling services including cuts, color, highlights, blowouts, and treatments tailored to client preferences.
- Provide exceptional customer service by listening to clients’ needs and offering professional recommendations.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all work areas, tools, and equipment in accordance with health regulations.
- Engage in upselling retail products to enhance client satisfaction and increase sales.
- Manage front desk duties such as scheduling appointments, greeting clients, and handling payments efficiently.
- Foster positive relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and build a loyal clientele.
- Stay current with industry trends and techniques through ongoing education and training.
Requirements
- Valid cosmetology license as required by provincial regulations.
- Proven experience in hair styling with a strong portfolio of work.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere.
- Knowledge of sanitation standards and safety protocols within a salon environment.
- Ability to upsell retail products confidently while maintaining professionalism.
- Experience with retail sales and front desk operations is preferred but not mandatory.
- A friendly attitude, professional appearance, and a passion for the beauty industry are essential for success in this role.
Pay: $15.65-$45.82 per hour
