Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing transactions, and supporting the overall operations of the retail environment. This role requires a proactive individual who can effectively handle cash, assist customers with their needs, and contribute to a positive shopping experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with inquiries regarding products and services.
- Process sales transactions accurately using the Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate cash handling procedures.
- Upsell products and services to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area to ensure a welcoming environment for customers.
- Assist in inventory management by restocking shelves and keeping track of product availability.
- Provide support in technology sales by demonstrating product features and benefits to customers.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve store goals and enhance overall customer experience.
- Have a Quickbooks background and is able to complete payments and keep invoices up to date
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse clientele.
- Proficient in cash handling and basic math skills for accurate transaction processing.
- Experience in retail sales, with a focus on upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities.
- Time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with POS systems and technology sales is preferred.
- Multilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with a broader range of customers.
- A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and assisting customers with their needs.
