Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Dispatcher to coordinate transportation and logistics operations within our supply chain. The ideal candidate will manage freight movements, communicate effectively with drivers and clients, and utilize various transportation management systems to ensure timely delivery and efficient routing. This role is essential in maintaining smooth shipping and receiving processes, supporting our commitment to operational excellence.
Duties
- Coordinate daily dispatch activities for freight and transportation services using Transportation Management Systems (TMS)
- Schedule pickups and deliveries, ensuring adherence to deadlines and customer requirements.
- Communicate with drivers, clients, and internal teams via multi-line phone systems, maintaining professional phone etiquette.
- Enter data accurately into relevant systems for shipment tracking, billing, and reporting purposes.
- Analyze shipping data to identify trends, inefficiencies, or delays, providing recommendations for process improvements.
- Manage shipping & receiving documentation, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with 3PL providers and internal departments to optimize supply chain operations.
- Monitor freight movements, troubleshoot issues promptly, and adjust schedules as needed to meet operational goals.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with transportation management systems.
- Strong understanding of supply chain logistics, freight management, and shipping & receiving procedures.
- Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy; proficient in typing and managing multi-line phone systems.
- Analytical skills to interpret shipping data and identify operational improvements.
- Effective communication skills with professional phone etiquette for interacting with drivers, clients, and team members.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Prior experience in freight or transportation coordination is preferred but not required; training will be provided as needed.
- Weekend support required.

Pay: $16.75-$30.82 per hour
