SAP Payroll Business Analyst:
On behalf of our technology client, Procom is searching for a SAP Payroll Business Analyst for a 12-month role. This position is remote with a preference for candidates located in Canada.
SAP Payroll Business Analyst - Job Description:
The SAP Payroll Business Analyst will support a large-scale payroll transformation initiative. This role involves payroll testing, payroll operations analysis, requirements validation, and payroll process support within SAP Payroll environments.
SAP Payroll Business Analyst - Responsibilities:
- Support payroll testing execution, validation, and defect analysis activities within SAP Payroll environments
- Gather and validate payroll business requirements and payroll process workflows
- Review payroll outputs, calculations, deductions, taxes, earnings, and payroll controls for accuracy
- Assist with SIT/UAT testing, payroll reconciliation, and parallel payroll validation activities
- Troubleshoot payroll discrepancies and coordinate resolution efforts across business and technical teams
- Support payroll documentation, SOP creation, process mapping, and knowledge transfer activities
- Collaborate closely with payroll operations, HR, IT, and project teams throughout implementation and stabilization phases
- Ensure payroll processes align with regulatory requirements, business rules, and organizational policies
- Assist with go-live readiness and post-go-live stabilization activities
SAP Payroll Business Analyst - Mandatory Skills:
- Strong SAP Payroll experience within enterprise payroll environments
- Experience supporting payroll testing, payroll validation, and payroll operations analysis
- Strong understanding of payroll processing, payroll controls, payroll reconciliation, and payroll compliance
- Experience supporting SIT/UAT and payroll defect resolution activities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent stakeholder communication and documentation skills
- Experience supporting large-scale payroll transformation or implementation initiatives
SAP Payroll Business Analyst – Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience supporting Canadian payroll environments
- Experience with payroll process optimization and payroll transformation projects
- Experience working within consulting or client-facing environments
- Experience supporting post-go-live stabilization and hypercare
- Exposure to unionized payroll environments and/or CBAs
