RNs in the Clinic work in an environment that fosters ongoing learning for staff and students and patients. The RN is responsible for preparing patients for Cystoscopic and Urodynamic procedures, assisting with Bladder Instillations and performing catheterizations during the procedures
Current Ontario Registration
Current BCLS certificate
B.Sc.N. preferred
Completion of post-graduate O.R. certificate and current or recent, related O.R. experience required
Nursing Oncology certification preferred
Expertise in Urology required
Expertise in the performance of urological operative techniques
Experience in Urodynamics required
Recent Surgical Oncology nursing experience an asset
Excellent communication, organizational and teaching skills
Ability to work effectively in a Patient-Focused Care environment within a multidisciplinary team, including students
Demonstrated interest in personal professional development
