Overview
We are seeking a bartender/server for the Townehouse Tavern. The ideal candidate would fire and foremost a people person, a go-getter, a hard worker. We are looking for a music lover and foodie, no experience necessary. We are happy to train for the right candidate. Experience with POS system is highly valuable, must have Ontario Smart Serve.
Duties
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately and efficiently
- Provide excellent customer service, a welcoming environment and safe place for guests to enjoy their experience.
- Operate Avrio POS system
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety standards
- Understand basic math calculations and making change in a speed bar setting
- Restock bar supplies and monitor inventory levels throughout shifts
- Ensure responsible serving by adhering to alcohol service laws and regulations
- Serve tables food and beverages
- Demonstrate excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders during busy periods
Qualifications
- Previous experience working as a bartender or in a restaurant setting preferred
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally
- Knowledge of POS systems
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Familiarity with food safety standards and responsible alcohol service laws
- Excellent time management abilities to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy hours
- Experience in food handling, serving, and hospitality is advantageous
