As a Hair Stylist Chair Renter with Boujie Girl Specialty Beauty Boutique, our expectation is that you will operate as an independent contractor by leasing a chair or workspace within the boutique. This arrangement allows for you to run your own hair styling business within an established salon environment, providing it the opportunity to grow while you set your own entrepreneurial pace. You will be responsible for managing your clientele, setting your schedule, and providing a range of hair styling services to your clients. Whether you specialize in cutting, coloring, braids/cornrows, installations, or more, Boujie Girls' doors are open to you!
Key Responsibilities:
Client Services:
- Provide hair styling, cutting, coloring, and other related services to clients.
- Consult with clients to understand their preferences and recommend suitable hairstyles.
- Stay updated on the latest trends and techniques in hair styling to offer innovative and fashionable services.
Business Management:
- Operate as an independent business owner within the salon, managing your schedule and appointments.
- Set and communicate your service prices, ensuring transparency with clients.
- Handle your own financial transactions and maintain accurate records of earnings.
Client Relationship Building:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to foster loyalty and repeat business.
- Effectively communicate with clients to understand their needs and provide personalized services.
Professionalism:
- Maintain a professional appearance and uphold high standards of customer service.
- Keep your workspace clean and organized, creating a welcoming and comfortable environment for clients.
Compliance:
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations related to licensing and health and safety standards.
- Comply with any specific salon policies and guidelines related to chair rental.
Marketing and Promotion:
- Promote your services through various channels, including social media, to attract new clients.
- Collaborate with the salon to participate in promotional events or marketing initiatives.
Continuous Education:
- Stay informed about industry trends, new products, and techniques through ongoing education and training.
Qualifications:
- Valid cosmetology or hairstylist license.
- Proven experience as a hair stylist.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to manage and maintain a client base.
- Strong business and entrepreneurial mindset.
