Waterloo Ford Lincoln is seeking an experienced Manager to head our sales departments in Edmonton, Alberta. With over a dozen direct reports, we seek someone who has a strong background in automotive financing and selling.
Primary Responsibilities and Functions (includes but not limited to)
- Coaching/mentoring team – consistent and formal coaching sessions with all staff areas such as service excellence, product knowledge, credit adjudication, dealer needs analysis, sales team needs analysis, and interacting with other staff members
- Identifying, soliciting, and closing sales opportunities
- Answering and handling of inbound internet lead opportunities
- Servicing clients in response to both stated and unstated needs
- Achieving or exceed assigned sales goals while enthusiastically participating in and assisting in the creation of corporate and department campaigns
- Effectively deal with all client concerns, conflicts and complaints
- Build and maintain good relationship with industry partners
- Maintaining sound credit judgment in a high paced environment with in-depth knowledge of Auto dealerships and sales structures
- Ensuring necessary due diligence is taken to support the accuracy of all employee, client, dealer, and dealer funding/reserve transactions.
- Processing credit applications diligently, undertaking thorough investigations
- Will adhere to policies, procedures, and loss prevention guidelines to mitigate the risk of loss to the organization
- Assisting in the management of delinquent accounts when requested
- Leads team development and in identification of team roles, responsibilities and goals.
- Completing yearly performance reviews for each direct report with a focus on skill development
- Treating all employees with dignity and respect and fosters a competent, positive, and expressive culture
- Other related duties as required
Skills and Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in retail lending
- Minimum of 3 years in a conditional sales finance environment.
- Experience managing a team
- Post-Secondary Business education is considered a strong asset
- The chosen candidate must have thorough knowledge of the Auto point of sale finance industry
- High level credit decision skills at a very high pace level.
- Possess skills in the areas of credit union operation and principles, consumer lending, human resource management, sales and financial management
- A strong aptitude for business development
- Possess strong communication and team skills
- AMVIC Licensing Required
- Experience with Reynolds/ Ignite Software/CDK
- Experience with VAuto
