The Bartender provides superior customer service by preparing beverages, serving and maintaining bar while attending to guests and patrons in a fast and friendly manner that support overall organizations goals and objectives. Qualifications and Requirements
One year of prior bartending experience is ideal with an additional year in a food & beverage establishment; other customer service experience will be considered valuable. Education in food & beverage also considered an asset. Must possess or willing to obtain the “Smart Choices” Certification in accordance with Manitoba Liquor Control Commission
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provides overall customer service to all lounge patrons and guests through friendly, responsive and timely service
- Prepares all standard and nonstandard alcoholic beverages in accordance with established recipes
- Assists servers as needed for ultimate customer service
- Discusses wines with patrons and guests, assists them in making their wine selection then chills if necessary
- Cleans lounge; from bar area to tables if needed
- Prepares patrons' bill and acts as cashier in lounge as needed
- Restocks, washes glasses, and prepares all bar supplies
- Brings dish bins to kitchen as needed
- Communicates with Management on trends, requests and needs regularly
