Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Assistant to join our educational team. This role is vital in supporting the development and well-being of young children in a nurturing classroom environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education, excellent communication skills, and experience working with children of diverse needs, including those with disabilities. Duties
- Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans and educational activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Support children during classroom activities, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all students.
- Help supervise children during playtime, meals, and rest periods, maintaining a high level of safety and engagement.
- Foster positive interactions with children to encourage social skills, independence, and confidence.
- Assist with classroom organization, including preparing materials and maintaining cleanliness.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to support individual needs and developmental progress.
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing additional assistance as needed.
Qualifications
- Prior classroom experience or experience working with children is preferred.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members.
- Ability to engage children in educational activities related to basic math concepts and other foundational skills.
- Patience, compassion, and a genuine interest in supporting young children's growth and development.
- Relevant certifications or training in early childhood education are advantageous but not required.
