Psychologist Opportunity — Centre for Cognitive Therapy
The Centre for Cognitive Therapy is seeking psychologists with a strong cognitive therapy and third-wave orientation who wish to practice in a clinically rigorous, evidence-based environment.
The Centre provides attractive office space exclusive to your own use, steady referral flow with active marketing, full administrative support, billing and payroll management, online booking, cancellations and waitlist management, and access to a custom CCT CRM designed to support clinical practice operations. There are no overhead charges for these or any other provisions.
CCT psychologists have access to PsyMatch, a structured assessment platform developed at the Centre (and funded by the National Research Council IRAP program) to support assessment intake, DSM-5 diagnostic evaluation, psychosocial history-taking, case conceptualization, treatment planning, and clinical report generation. PsyMatch’s diagnostic outputs are being validated against the SCID, and the platform incorporates the Stressful Belief Index, a cognitive belief/process/mechanism measure developed at the CCT and now in press.
Psychologists at the CCT also participate in bi-monthly small-group professional development meetings with one of the Directors. These meetings include case consultation, discussion of cognitive therapy formulation and intervention, peer learning, and selected readings to support ongoing growth in evidence-based practice.
For interested and appropriately qualified psychologists, there may also be an opportunity for income growth through the supervision of Master’s-level Registered Psychotherapists. When a psychologist is designated as Service Provider for clients seen by a supervised psychotherapist, the psychologist receives a supervision/service-provider fee per billed clinical hour for clients under their clinical responsibility. Psychologists each have a maximum of two full-time therapists to supervise, to ensure excellence in supervision practices.
This opportunity may be especially well suited to psychologists who value diagnostic clarity, evidence-based treatment, cognitive therapy formulation, professional development, administrative support, strong referral flow, and the opportunity to practice within a collegial clinical community. The average net income for psychologists at the OCCT is over $230,000 per year.
Interested psychologists are invited to contact Dr Jane Blouin at the Centre for a confidential conversation.
