Job Description
Maritime Woodworks is hiring an experienced full-time Operations Manager to join our team in Halifax. This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of our custom woodworking shop, including production, team leadership, and quality control.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee the entire production workflow, from initial design review to final finishing and delivery.
- Lead, train, and schedule a team of skilled woodworkers and shop staff to meet production goals.
- Manage inventory levels of raw materials, hardware, and finishing supplies.
- Implement and enforce rigorous quality control standards to ensure every piece meets our brand's expectations.
- Ensure the workshop complies with all workplace health and safety regulations.
- Coordinate logistics for the delivery and installation of finished pieces for our clients.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
Qualifications:
- Requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management, preferably in manufacturing, custom fabrication, or a related skilled trade.
- Must have demonstrated experience leading and developing a team.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management, production planning, and quality control principles is required.
- Requires excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
- A bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, or a related field is an asset.
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
Pay: $90,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
