The Event Sales Manager – Social & Weddings is responsible for generating and managing wedding and social event business for the hotel. This role focuses on selling event space, guest rooms, food and beverage services, and additional hotel offerings while ensuring exceptional client service from the initial inquiry through event completion.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to grow the wedding and social events market.
- Prospect, qualify, and convert new business opportunities through networking, referrals, and direct sales efforts.
- Respond promptly to inquiries and prepare customized proposals, contracts, and event packages.
- Conduct hotel tours and site inspections for prospective clients.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with wedding planners, vendors, and community partners.
- Coordinate with banquet, catering, front office, and operations teams to ensure seamless event execution.
- Manage event bookings, contracts, deposits, and client communications.
- Achieve monthly and annual sales goals while maximizing hotel revenue.
- Maintain accurate records using the hotel's sales and customer relationship management systems.
- Represent Hyatt Place at bridal shows, networking events, and community functions as required.
- Ensure exceptional customer satisfaction before, during, and after each event.
- College diploma or degree preferred.
- Minimum 1–2 years of sales experience, preferably within the hospitality or hotel industry.
- Previous hotel, catering, restaurant, or event management experience is an asset.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Self-motivated, outgoing, and customer-focused with strong relationship-building skills.
- Valid driver's license required.
