The Griffin Pub is looking for a part-time Kitchen Runner to join our dynamic kitchen team for the summer!
Are you energetic, fast on your feet, and love a bustling pub atmosphere? You’ll be the vital link between our busy kitchen and our hungry guests, ensuring hot food goes out fast and the kitchen runs smoothly.

At The Griffin Pub, we pride ourselves on serving classic pub favorites with creative twists. We're a busy spot, serving lunch, dinner, and late-night snacks to our friends in the heart of Muskoka.
We're the little pub that's hard to find and harder to forget, and we're looking for someone who shares our commitment to quality, teamwork and community.
Responsibilities:
- Run the Food: Deliver hot, fresh dishes from the kitchen line to guest tables promptly and accurately.
- Clear & Bus: Clear dirty plates and utensils from tables and bring them back to the dishwashing station.
- Support the Kitchen: Help the culinary team with basic prep work, restocking plates, and keeping the expo line clean and organized.
- Lend a Hand: Assist with dishwashing, trash removal, and sweeping/mopping during and at the end of shifts.
- Front of House Support: Pitch in to support the front-of-house team during peak rushes, helping with table resets, restocking glassware, or assisting servers.
- Guest Relations: Warmly greet arriving guests and assist with seating them during busy rushes to keep the front doors moving.
- Communicate: Act as the ultimate team player, bridging the gap between Front-of-House servers and Back-of-House kitchen staff.
Qualifications:
- High Energy & Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and carry/move heavy items for the duration of a shift.
- Speed & Focus: You can move quickly and safely through a crowded, fast-paced pub environment.
- Team Player: A positive attitude and a willingness to help out wherever needed.
- Flexibility: Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- No Experience? No Problem: While restaurant experience is a plus, we are happy to train anyone with the right work ethic and drive.
