Material Handler / Forklift Operator – Shipping & Receiving

Bulldog Bag Ltd. is a well-established, family-owned manufacturer of polyethylene and paper bags serving customers across North America. We are currently seeking a dependable and safety-conscious Material Handler / Forklift Operator to join our Shipping & Receiving team.
This position is ideal for an individual with warehouse and forklift experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and takes pride in accuracy, teamwork, and safe work practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely load, unload, and transport raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods using forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Pick, stage, wrap, and prepare customer orders for shipment.
- Receive incoming shipments and verify quantities and documentation.
- Organize inventory and replenish stock in designated storage locations.
- Assist with shipping and receiving documentation as required.
- Perform daily pre-operational inspections of forklifts and report any equipment issues.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all company policies, safe work procedures, and WorkSafeBC requirements.
- Support other warehouse and production activities as required.
Qualifications
- Valid forklift certification (required).
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a warehouse, shipping & receiving, or material handling environment.
- Experience operating forklifts safely in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Good attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing repetitive physical tasks.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
