Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Dishwasher/Kitchen Helper to join our busy restaurant team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to food safety standards. Previous restaurant or food industry experience is a plus but not required, as training will be provided.
Duties
- Wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment promptly and thoroughly to ensure cleanliness and sanitation.
- Assist with meal preparation and food handling tasks as directed by the kitchen staff.
- Support food service operations by organizing supplies and maintaining a clean work area.
- Help with basic food preparation tasks, including chopping, assembling ingredients, and portioning.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and proper sanitation procedures at all times.
- Assist in maintaining inventory of dishware and kitchen supplies.
- Support the kitchen team during busy periods to ensure smooth workflow and timely service.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in cooking, restaurant work, or food service is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of food handling, safety procedures, and basic kitchen operations is advantageous.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills and willingness to support other kitchen staff members.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy pots or boxes of supplies.
