Job Description
We are a construction company specializing in hotel renovations and hospitality improvement projects. We are seeking a dependable and hardworking General Construction Labourer to join our growing team. This position involves assisting skilled tradespeople with a variety of construction and renovation tasks while helping deliver high-quality renovation projects in active hotel environments.
Work locations vary depending on the project and may include hotels throughout Guelph, Cambridge, Kitchener-Waterloo, Breslau, and surrounding areas. Employees will report directly to the assigned job site or another designated meeting location as directed by the project manager.
Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespeople with general construction and renovation work.
- Perform demolition and site preparation, including removing drywall, flooring, fixtures, and other building materials.
- Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment.
- Operate basic hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Assist with framing, drywall installation, painting preparation, flooring installation, and finishing work.
- Help protect hotel property and surrounding work areas during renovations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Remove construction debris and dispose of waste according to site procedures.
- Follow all company safety policies and workplace health and safety regulations.
- Work collaboratively with team members to complete projects safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
Qualifications
- Previous construction or renovation experience is an asset but not required.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Experience using basic hand and power tools is an asset.
- Experience operating heavy equipment or construction machinery is considered an asset.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable transportation to various job sites is preferred. Schedule

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
