Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Purchaser to join our procurement team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing materials, equipment, and services essential to our manufacturing operations. This role requires strong vendor management skills, familiarity with our ERP system. and a solid understanding of supply chain processes. The Purchaser will play a key role in ensuring timely procurement while maintaining cost efficiency and quality standards. Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end purchasing process, including sourcing, negotiation, and procurement of materials and services.
- Collaborate with vendors to establish favorable pricing, delivery terms, and service levels.
- Utilize our ERP system to track purchase orders, inventory levels, and supplier performance.
- Utilize our ERP system to process all supplier invoices
- Coordinate with production and supply chain teams to ensure materials are available for manufacturing schedules.
- Assist in shipping and receiving
- Assist in other administrative work
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and sourcing opportunities.
- Monitor vendor performance and maintain strong supplier relationships through effective communication and negotiation.
- Analyze pricing trends and optimize procurement strategies to reduce costs without compromising quality.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements related to procurement activities.
Requirements
- Proven experience in purchasing within a manufacturing or supply chain environment.
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP or other similar platforms.
- Familiarity with MRP (Material Requirements Planning) processes and supply chain management.
- Excellent vendor management skills with the ability to negotiate effectively on price, terms, and delivery schedules.
- Experience with sourcing strategies, procurement best practices, and contract management.
- Ability to analyze pricing data and market trends to make informed purchasing decisions.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating across departments and negotiating with suppliers.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, supply chain dynamics, and procurement regulations is highly desirable.
Pay: From $25.00 per hour
